State releases report on work deaths

Work- related incidents killed 376 workers in California in 2017, the same number as in 2016, the state’s Department of Industrial Relations, announced.

The agency, which tracks and investigates work-related deaths, released its annual report on fatal occupational injuries Dec. 18. Figures from 2017 are the latest numbers available, the department said in a news release.
