Special education bill advances

The California State Assembly Committee on Education has passed AB-2600 by state Assemblywoman Fran Pavley (D-Woodland Hills).
The bill would require alternate assessments to be developed to the California High School Exit Examination for special education students who cannot participate in the exam regardless of accommodations or modifications.
