Police believe there may be additional victims in the case of a private soccer coach arrested for sexually assaulting two girls under 14 years old in Westlake Village.

Ernandes Evaristo Dasilva, 65, was taken into custody on May 2, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced. Dasilva, who also goes by Nando, was booked at South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station and released on $550,000 bail.

Sgt. Belen Lemus of the LASD Special Victims Bureau told The Acorn that Dasilva is scheduled to appear in court on July 21.

“The incidents occurred between 2011 and 2022 when Mr. Dasilva gave private soccer lessons in the city of Westlake Village,” LASD said in a statement.

It’s not Dasilva’s first run-in with the law.

“There was a previous investigation in 2011,” Lemus said. She couldn’t say whether or not Dasilva was arrested at that time.

Currently, investigators are presenting evidence from incidents in 2011 and 2022 to the district attorney’s office.

Given the nature of the alleged crimes, as well as the access Dasilva had to children while giving soccer lessons in Westlake Village, detectives are seeking other, unidentified victims. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to call the LASD Special Victim Bureau at (877) 710-5273 or email specialvictimsbureau@lasd.org.
