Robert Slavin, a member of the Westlake Village City Council since 2001, announced he will not run in the fall municipal election.

The prospective candidates included incumbents Susan McSweeney and Mark Rutherford, and challengers Brad Halpern and Don Rosenberg. A later filing was submitted by Kymberly Horner, daughter of former Thousand Oaks mayor Larry Horner.
