YMCA branches are registering students in kindergarten through fifth grade for before and after school child care programs for the 2018-2019 school year.
Triunfo YMCA will offer child care at Yerba Buena, Sumac and Willow elementary schools in Agoura Hills and White Oak Elementary in Westlake Village.
A program for kindergartners is offered at all schools.
If transportation space is available, children who attend elementary schools in Oak Park and at Westlake and Westlake Hills elementary schools can be transported to their nearest YMCA child care school site.
Conejo Valley YMCA will provide child care at Peach Hill and Mountain Meadows academies in Moorpark and M.A.T.E.S. charter school in Thousand Oaks.
Simi Valley Family YMCA will have child care at Arroyo, Atherwood, Berylwood, Big Springs, Hollow Hills, Katherine, Santa Susana, Sycamore and White Oak elementary schools.
A preschool facility will be open at Justin Early Learners Academy, 2245 Justin Ave.
A typical day in child care includes homework time, themed enrichments, science projects, dramatic play and arts and crafts. Children participate in monthly service projects as well.
Staff ratio is one for every 12 students. All staff members are first aid and CPR certified.
Child care is available on school days, pupil-free days and minimum days.
Youth can attend full time or part time with flexible time slots.
