Signage dispute

Lawn signs should be placed on private property. The owner of the property has the right to put them up and take them down.

Since median strips on any road are public property, any citizen is part owner of the property and has the right to put a sign up or take a sign down. Taking down the sign on public property is not “stealing.”

I put signs on my property along Mulholland Highway, which was constructed through the middle of our field due to eminent domain. The agreement was that if Mulholland was not widened, the extra amount of space was still ours.

When signs are removed from our property it is both trespassing and stealing. Our Mitt Romney and Todd Zink signs were stolen by trespassers.
