Sign dispute

Just because Jane Contis felt entitled to take signs from private property does not make it right. Just because her husband has money enough to take out a fullpage Acorn ad and defame the innocent community member who stopped her does not make it any “righter.”

Those of us living in the affluent suburbs have a serious problem with this “sense of entitlement.” It affects how we drive our SUVs, how we treat ouneighbors and employees and, in this instance, how the Contis family believes they can commit misdemeanors and public defamation because of “who they are.” Money and self-perceived social status do not entitle anyone to bad behavior.
