Show some love to Senior Concerns

June event needs volunteers

In preparation for the Ladin Subaru 26th annual Love Run on Sun., June 2 in Westlake Village, Senior Concerns is seeking individual volunteers and volunteer groups from employers, service groups, other nonprofits and faith-based organizations to work in a variety of race day roles.

Volunteer groups can assist with race day check-in and packet pick-up, work as course monitors; staff water stations along the race routes; assist with the race expo, and fill other roles.

The event includes a half marathon, which will be run on a course that is part street and part trail.

Runners and walkers can also participate in a 10K, 5K or one-mile fun run.

The Finish Line Festival is also expected to attract a large and diverse group of vendors who will hand out samples and share information with a wellness-centered theme.

More than 2,500 people are expected to attend.

Volunteers will receive front row spectator seats to the races, a volunteer shirt and a free pancake breakfast.

The annual event supports Senior Concerns’ Meals On Wheels Program, which ensure that homebound seniors receive food to eat.
