Agoura Hills

On March 4 or 5, a vehicle parked in front of a home on Colodny Drive was vandalized with adhesive posters and a deep, 5-foot scratch down the passenger doors. The posters sought information about a pit bull said to have attacked another dog. The owner of the vandalized truck had just encountered an older man who asked if he owned the pit bull. He said he did not. When he called the number on the posters, it had been disconnected.

On Feb. 27, two men and one woman stole a shoulder bag and a briefcase from a vehicle parked in a lot in the 5000 block of Lewis Road. In the bag were credit cards and $4,000 in cash. The victim had just withdrawn the money from the Wells Fargo bank on Mulholland Highway in Woodland Hills. The responding Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station deputy believes the thieves followed the victim directly from the bank.

On Feb. 24 or 25, two rolls of Romex electrical wire worth $500 were stolen from a vehicle parked at Colodny Drive and Canwood Street. The vehicle sustained $1,300 worth of damage, including two smashed windows.

On Feb. 24 or 25, a vehicle parked at Driver Avenue and Colodny Drive was broken into and ransacked. An iPad and a notebook containing customer checks made out to the victim were stolen.

Calabasas

On Feb. 23, a thief stole a shoulder bag from someone about to pull out of a parking spot at the Commons shopping center. The thief then drove off in a vehicle that had stopped behind the victim’s, making off with credit cards and a small amount of cash.

Hidden Hills

On March 3 or 4, a BMW parked in the yard of a residence on Long Valley Road was vandalized in an attempted burglary. Pry marks around the door frame caused $1,500 in damage. The car was locked.

Oak Park

Mail was stolen from the private mailbox of a home in the 500 block of Hastings Court on March 8.

A 55-year-old woman was arrested by Ventura County sheriff’s deputies March 7 for stealing over $950 worth of property from the 4700 block of Rhapsody Drive.

More than $ 950 worth of property was stolen Feb. 28 from a home in the 4700 block of Rhapsody Drive.

A 49-year-old man was arrested Feb. 24 for battering two victims, one of whom was elderly, in the 100 block of N. Locust Avenue.

On Feb. 23 near Churchwood Drive and N. Kanan Road, a thief broke a vehicle window to steal property.

Westlake Village

On March 4, two men entered the Target at 30740 Russell Ranch Road and stole two Oculus Quest virtual reality headsets valued at $500 each. They asked an employee to open the locked cabinets containing the merchandise, said they would pay at the front of the store and then left without doing so.

On Feb. 20, two men stole a printer and two toner cartridges worth more than $950 from Staples at 5760 Lindero Canyon Road.
