A car was vandalized in the rear parking lot of The Canyon club on Roadside Drive early Dec. 16. The victim said he left at 12:30 a.m. and realized the driver side mirror had been moved. After arriving home, he discovered the mirror casing was damaged and found an 8-inch dent on the driver’s door. Damage was estimated at $2,500. The area where he was parked had no security cameras.

Three burglars broke into a home on Rista Drive the evening of Nov. 29 but ran off when confronted by the resident. The woman said she was watching TV in the master bedroom when she heard a loud crash in the living room. She went to investigate and found the trio, all dressed in dark hoodies and surgical masks, in her home. They ran away through a broken sliding glass door and drove off south toward Thousand Oaks Boulevard in a silver or gray sedan with a racing stripe or sticker on the side. The woman said nothing was taken in the incident. Damage to the door was estimated at $1,000.

Calabasas

An ad for Lululemon clothing on the online marketplace OfferUp may lead authorities to the people behind thefts of clothing from the brand’s store at the Commons in Calabasas. On Dec. 10, a Lululemon loss prevention officer paid $70 for a pair of Power Thru High-Rise tights that sell for around $125 in the store. Three days later, the officer made another purchase for the same price from the same seller. Affixed to the pants were sensors from the Calabasas store, which was robbed Nov. 21. Security video from that day shows two women stuffing their long skirts with numerous pairs of Power Thrus. They walked out of the store holding more, then returned those pairs to the racks when the security alarm sounded. The women left the store with the merchandise under their skirts, which store officials estimate had a value of $2,560. Video also connects them to a similar theft on Nov. 19, when they made off with $6,400 in leggings. The online seller was not one of the store thieves.

Oak Park

A resident at the 500 block of Monetleone Avenue reported they were the victim of fraud between Dec. 14 and 16. The culprit used identity theft to obtain money, labor or property from the victim, which is a felony.

Westlake Village

An employee at Costco on Lindero Canyon Road reported that someone made off with the hubcaps from his Subaru Impreza on Dec. 18. He parked around 9 a.m. and returned at 12:20 p.m. That’s when he noticed the theft. The man told authorities he and another employee bumped each other a month or so earlier, right around the time he noticed some damage to the driver’s door of his car. But the man said he didn’t think the other employee was involved. Security cameras in the area where the man parked his car were not working at the time of the most recent incident. Value of the hubcaps was estimated at $80.

Someone stole a Dyson air purifier from an accountant’s office in the 5700 block of Corsa Avenue sometime between Dec. 10 and 13. The building manager told authorities he’d been on the job only a few months and did not know how to operate the security video system.

A woman reported the theft of three custom-built flying drones valued at $3,300 from a unit at Public Storage on Agoura Road. The victim was contacted by a business representative who said her unit had been broken into through the ceiling Nov. 10 after a security access code was used to enter the property. A former employee who’d been terminated a couple of days earlier is being looked at as a possible suspect. Not only did he know where the drones were stored, he helped build them.
