On Aug. 17 three men stole 13 cellphones from the T-Mobile store on Kanan Road. An employee in the back heard the alarm going off and came out to see the men ripping the phones off security cables and putting them in backpacks before leaving. The employee recognized two of the men from a company alert about a theft from a store in North Hollywood. The stolen phones were worth over $5,200. The thieves caused $400 in damage to the store.
