Agoura Hills

A person entered an unlocked vehicle parked on Rustling Oaks Drive on July 27 and stole a wallet containing various debit and credit cards, all worth $100.

On July 24 a burglar broke into Sumac Elementary School on Calmfield Avenue. The culprit cut the screen windows to seven classrooms and damaged the doors of a shed, causing a total of $400 in damage. Nothing was taken.

Also on the night of July 24 someone broke into Lindero Canyon Middle School on Larboard Lane. The culprit damaged a roof and the floor of the school gym, causing $4,800 in damage, and stole a $150 ladder.

On July 23 a thief stole a bicycle from the 76 gas station on Dorothy Drive. The $7,000 bike had been secured with a lock, which the thief broke, causing $40 in damage.

A burglar attempted to break into A Beautiful Mess Home store on Agoura Road on July 17 and caused $525 in damage by making a 4-foot hole in the business’ wall. Nothing was taken.

On July 15 a thief broke into a car parked at the Cheeseboro hiking trail parking lot on Chesebro Road by damaging the driver’s side door lock, causing $310 in damage. The culprit also caused $411 in damage by breaking the glove compartment lock. The thief stole debit and credit cards and cash, altogether worth $60.

Calabasas

On July 28 a thief stole a wallet from a purse at Ralphs supermarket in the Commons. The wallet contained a driver’s license, cash and various credit and debit cards, all worth $295.

Someone vandalized the back gate of a home on Paseo Del Rancho on July 27. The culprit cut a lock and damaged the gate, causing a total of $1,050 in damage.

On July 25, mail was stolen from a home on Crater Camp Drive. The thief stole several packages containing three checks, a horse supplement, a dress, riding boots and a child’s T-shirt, all worth $6,985.

A crook entered an unlocked car parked at the Hilton Garden Inn on Park Sorrento on July 19 and stole a MacBook Pro, worth $900, that had been left inside.
