A person broke into a car parked outside Yamato Japanese restaurant on July 29. The owner of the car, an employee of the restaurant, parked outside the business and returned several hours later to find the driver’s side door lock had been pried open, causing $200 damage. The vehicle was ransacked but nothing was taken.

On July 27 a thief broke into the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center by smashing a glass side door, causing $300 damage. The person broke into a vending machine, causing $200 damage, and stole various snacks from within.

On July 24 someone broke into the Shell gas station on Cheseboro Road by shattering two glass doors, causing $1,000 damage, and stole $500 from the cash register.

Someone broke into a car parked outside Tutor Time on Clareton Drive on July 18. The thief smashed the front passenger window, causing $100 damage, and stole a Kate Spade purse containing a wallet and credit cards, a driver’s license, passport, and cash. The stolen property was valued at $535.


Someone entered an unlocked car parked outside Malibu Farms on Mulholland Highway on July 21. The victim had left her purse, which contained $150 cash and various credit cards, on the passenger seat. The thief stole the cards and cash, and later used one of the cards to make a $1,500 purchase at the Target on Russell Ranch Road in Westlake Village.
