Someone stole a woman’s wallet from her purse while she shopped at the Trader Joe’s on Canwood Street on July 15. The wallet contained $300 cash and credit cards that the thief attempted to use shortly after the theft occurred.

On July 12 a robber broke into a home on Hurford Court and stole several purses, wallets, and a collection of silver dollar coins, worth an estimated $14,000. The home was tented for fumigation at the time and the thief cut a hole in the tent and sliced open a window screen to access the home.

A robber broke into a home on Westhaven Court on July 7 and stole four watches and a .380 caliber pistol, all worth more than $78,000. The owner reported leaving all the doors to the house locked, and there were no signs of forced entry into the home.


On July 12 a thief stole a wallet from a customer at Gelson’s on Mulholland Highway. The wallet contained $600 cash, credit cards and a driver’s license.

Two people attempted to break into a business on Park Granada on July 11. Detectives recovered a ladder at the scene, and security footage showed a man and a woman used the ladder to get onto the roof of the building. The two attempted to enter the office through a sliding door on the roof but were unable.

Someone broke into a home on Park Granada on July 9 by smashing a rear window. The thief ransacked the home but the owner didn’t report anything as missing.

Westlake Village

On July 13 someone stole eight bottles of Glenlivet Single Malt Scotch from the Costco on Lindero Canyon Road, worth $800.

Someone vandalized private property at a home on Golden Leaf Drive on July 8. Someone broke large branches off trees in the front and side yards of the property, causing $1,000 damage.
