A home on Triunfo Canyon Road was burglarized between Dec. 28 and 29. The owner reported leaving the property locked, but returned to find the garage door open and property strewn around the driveway. The thief stole two welders, 80 feet of copper wire and a lock box and key worth over $2,400.

Someone vandalized a homemade wooden picnic table behind Agoura Dance on Cornell Road on Dec. 28 causing $500 in damage.

In the early morning hours of Dec. 24 someone stole a $3 pack of gum from an unlocked car parked on Fountainwood Street. Surveillance footage showed two people testing the door locks on the cars in the driveway. The vehicle’s owner reported finding a cellphone in the car the morning after the theft, which alerted him to the crime.

On Dec. 21 a thief stole a bicycle from an underground parking garage on Medea Lane. The bike had an attached bag that contained a GPS and bike lock. The stolen property was worth more than $1,100.

Calabasas

Fresh Brothers Pizza in the Calabasas Commons was burglarized early Jan. 1. There were no signs of forced entry. The thief stole approximately $4,000.

Someone broke into a house on Park Granada on Dec. 29. The owner said she had left around 4 p.m. to get food and when she returned she could hear people moving around inside the home. The front door’s deadbolt, which she doesn’t use, was locked, barring her entering. While she was out a neighbor called to tell her a couple had been pounding on the homeowner’s door. Upon arriving, deputies searched the area for the couple but found no one. The thieves entered by knocking out a window screen in the kitchen, around the back of the house. The owner reported that a $25 fake pearl necklace and a $200 pair of earrings had been stolen.

A car parked outside The Six restaurant was vandalized the night of Dec. 28. The owner locked the vehicle and went into the restaurant. Upon returning she saw that someone had scratched “bitch” into the driver’s side door panel, causing over $ 900 in damage.

An unlocked car parked on Orchid Lane was burglarized between Dec. 28 and 31. The owner left the vehicle in his assigned parking spot and when he returned found that a $485 stroller and a $300 television were missing.

A thief shattered the front door of Jersey Mike’s on Agoura Road the morning of Dec. 27, causing $600 in damage. No money was stolen from the business.

On Dec. 23 someone broke into a car parked at the Commons and stole over $1,100 worth of property from the vehicle. The thief smashed the front passenger window, causing $200 in damage, and stole a backpack, a laptop and a calculator.

A woman’s wallet was stolen out of her purse on Dec. 21. She was having lunch with her daughter at the Corner Bakery in The Commons and upon leaving noticed her $100 wallet containing her credit cards and an unknown amount of cash were missing. She canceled the cards after her banks notified her that they had been used for several transactions

Someone broke into a car parked on Lido Court on Dec. 20. The thief caused $1,000 in damage by prying open the tailgate window. The vehicle’s third-row seat and a trombone that had been left in the car, each worth about $1,000, were stolen.
