Calabasas

Someone broke into the construction site at 23500 Park Sorrento and stole $20,000 worth of condensers and $2,000 worth of copper pipe. The theft took place the night of Oct. 30.

On Oct. 30, a thief stole two light fixtures worth $1,300 that were left in the alley behind the performing arts education center at Calabasas High School.

A vandal broke a water pipe at a home on Mulholland Highway the night of Oct. 28 causing $600 in damage.

There was an attempted robbery in the 4600 block of Park Granada on Oct. 27. A woman was walking on the street when a man tried to grab her purse and knocked her to the ground. When the victim held on to the bag the would-be thief ran to a silver SUV parked nearby and drove away.

Between Oct. 27 and 30, someone stole 14 rolls of copper wire worth $4,000 from a construction site at 23500 Park Sorrento. The site’s gate was left unlocked and the wire unprotected.

Oak Park

Criminal threats were reported in the 400 block of Medea Creek Lane on Oct. 29.

Westlake Village

A StorQuest storage unit at 5730 Corsa Ave. was broken into sometime between May and Oct. 31. The owner, who last checked the unit in May, said he went to obtain seasonal items on Oct. 31 and found the lock on the unit was not his. Upon opening the unit he found that over $10,000 worth of property had been stolen, including a mountain bike and antique chair.
