Services and programs listed for Westlake Church of Religious Science




Westlake Church of Religious Science presents the following ongoing services and special programs during August to September.


From 9:30 to 9:50 a.m. Sundays: Meditation and Healing Service; at 10 a.m., Rev. Sue Rubin presents "Celebration of Life." Also at 10 a.m., pre-school, Jr. Church, Tweens and Teens meet.


From 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays: Rubin applies "Practical Spiritual Psychology" to everyday issues such as health, work, relationships and prosperity.


At 10 a.m. on Sun., Aug. 26, musician/author and motivator Gene Wall Cole will be guest speaker discussing "Gems of the Spirit, Practical Lessons for Living in the 21st Century." He will present his message through spiritually inspired songs and unique instruments. From 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., Cole will present a workshop, "Follow Your Dreams—The Bottom Line," that provides a simple, step-by-step method for "creating the life you’ve only dreamed of before now." Cost of the workshop is $20 pre-paid or $25 at the door.


The Rev. Eric Hodges will continue his summer class, "Metaphysical Bible Series" from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Sept. 11. The cost is $10 per class. Participants will learn how metaphysical interpretation is done; look "into the minds" of the ancients; and learn to read "the esoteric messages of our oldest records." The class will utilize the works of Ernest Holmes, Jack Addington, Thomas Troward, Edgar Caset, past and present mystics, psychics and channelers.
