Service project will sew dresses




STYLISH—A lady models the type of dress that the Thousand Oaks Relief Society will sew during its July 9 service project. The public is welcome to take part in the event sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

STYLISH—A lady models the type of dress that the Thousand Oaks Relief Society will sew during its July 9 service project. The public is welcome to take part in the event sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The Thousand Oaks Stake Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host a community service project from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tues., July 9 at the Thousand Oaks Stake Center, 1600 Erbes Road, Thousand Oaks.

Members of the Relief Society will be sewing T-shirts and fabrics to make dresses to donate to girls in Ethiopia and other countries through Engage Now Africa. The community is invited to participate.

Attendees may bring their own sewing machine or serger and sewing supplies. Those who do not sew may help with matching T-shirts to fabrics and ironing.

The Thousand Oaks Relief Society is the local unit of a worldwide sisterhood of women age 18 and over.
