Seniors discuss current events

They meet on Wednesday afternoons




The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services Senior Recreation Program is offering a "Current Events Discussion Group" for adults age 50 and up from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays at the Agoura Hills Recreation Center, 30610 Thousand Oaks Blvd.


The program is geared toward those who are interested in participating in an informal, in-depth discussion of current events affecting seniors. Paul Johnson will lead the program, using videos, newspapers and handouts as materials and resources.


On Thurs., May 29, Agoura Hills Senior Center members will take a trip to tour the Los Angeles Culinary School and Mini Cake Museum, which will include lunch and dessert. The $31 fee includes bus transportation and lunch. The bus will leave from the Agoura Hills Recreation Center at 9:45 a.m. and return at 3:30 p.m. Early reservations are suggested.


To participate in any senior activities requires being a registered member of the Agoura Hills Senior Center/Senior Recreation Program. For a $12 annual fee, adults age 50 and above may enroll in any classes, activities, special events and excursions.
