THE JOKE’S ON YOU—The Oak Park High School ComedySportz team prepares to face off against the OPHS alumni with improv games tomorrow, June 6, in the school pavilion.

The public is invited to decide who’s funnier—Oak Park High School students or alumni—in the school’s final ComedySportz competition of the year.

The comedy match will take place in the high school pavilion from 7 to 9 p.m. Fri., June 6.

Colin Tanner, a senior at Oak Park High, has been on the team for four years.

“This match is special because it is not only the seniors’ last game, but a chance to improvise with Team Alumni for the last time,” Colin said. “This event is super fun with a ton of opportunity for audience participation for all ages. We put on a clean show.”

ComedySportz is improvisational comedy that’s played competitively. Two teams battle for laughs and points, coming up with scenes, games, songs and jokes on the spot. A referee can knock off points by calling a foul, and by the end of the evening the audience will choose the winner of the match.

A portion of the ticket sales proceeds will benefit the Friendship Circle, a nonprofit group that helps children with special needs.

Tickets are $3 for students and children, and $5 for adults. For more information, call Oak Park High School, (818) 735-3300.
