GOOD WORK—Eighth-grader Elisha Tong, 13, left, of Medea Creek Middle School and 11thgrader Grace Mas, 16, of Oak Park High School are honored for their science projects March 24 at the Ventura County Office of Education. Elisha’s project was named Finding Calm: Meditation Verses Mobile Games. Grace’s project was Using Manifold Learning for Unmanned Aircraft System’s Package Delivery. Carol Sun from OPHS, not shown, also won a science fair award for her project, Adjusting Protein Levels for Geneotype to Improve the Accuracy of Multiple Sclerosis Diagnostic Tests. Both OPHS students also received special recognitions from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Buenventura Section and the Society of Women Engineers. Elisah will represent OPUSD at the state science fair April 23 and 24.
