Bond failure, pandemic, a double blow to the district

StepenoskyWhile the coronavirus pandemic has dominated much of the news with widespread closures in place, some civic functions continue, such as ballot-counting for the March 3 election.
In what’s believed to be the closest voting in school district history, the Las Virgenes Unified Measure V bond vote failed by a less than .5%.
The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder certified the election results on March 21 and declared the election officially over on March 31.
