Measure E needed for educator salaries and programs


Support for the Las Virgenes Unified School District Measure E parcel tax extension appears strong in the final week before the Nov. 3 election.
Measure E was passed by local voters in 2004 when California cut education funding to shore up the dwindling state budget. The measure was renewed by voters for eight more years in 2008.
Most of the money goes toward educator salaries and benefits.
