School parents form fire relief fund

In the days immediately following the Woolsey fire, a group of parents in the Las Virgenes Unified School District founded Las Virgenes Fire Relief (LVFR), an organization that raises money and collects goods on behalf of district families whose homes were lost or severely damaged in the fire.

Nearly 100 families with student and staff in the school district either lost their homes or have been displaced long term following major damage.
