Scandinavian Festival coming




California Lutheran University presents its annual Scandinavian Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sat. and Sun., April 20 and 21 on the campus at 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.


The weekend event celebrates the cultures of the Scandinavian and Baltic countries with special attractions including a 16th Century Swedish royal court, a Viking living history program, musical and theatrical presentations, lectures plus many Scandinavian delicacies including a smorgasbord. There will be dancers, musicians, arts and crafts, food booths, a Scandinavian marketplace and Tivoli Gardens.


In conjunction with the festival, Swedish-born classical guitarist Tomas Janzon will present a varied program of jazz, Swedish folk tunes and his own compositions at 1 p.m. on April 21 in Overton Hall.
