Sam got slammed, but why?

Poor Sam, the Tobacco Man. It looks to me that he has complied with all the city’s requirements, but it looks like the NIMBYs are out in full force and once again the cry of “It’s for the children.” Where were they when the Silver Star Liquor was put in, which, by the way, also is in proximity to a public school. The 7Eleven is there, too, across the street, and they both sell tobacco and alcohol.

Poor Sam, I’m sure, with his entrepreneurial spirit, is in this country hoping to fulfill his American dream of being his own man in business. Sam is accused of influencing our youths because he offers paraphernalia, papers and other accessories. I have been there at the 7-Eleven when people have walked in and bought rolling paper.

If Sam ever gets to stay he should not stock wineglasses, shot glasses or steins since these items might influence our young to imbibe in alcohol.

Good luck, Sam; you need it.
