Kelsey Rouse brought the ruckus at the NCAA tournament.
Rouse, a junior for the Cal Lutheran women’s track and field team, made a memorable debut at the NCAA Division III Championships in Wisconsin last weekend.
The Regent, a Moorpark High grad, finished No. 20 in the heptathlon.
Rouse is the third athlete in Cal Lutheran history to qualify for the national championships in the women’s heptathlon. Pam Beaver competed for the Regals in the event in 1991 and 1992, while Cassandra Anderson qualified in 2008.
Rouse was third in the high jump (1.57 meters) and ninth in the long jump (5.24 meters). She also competed in the javelin, 800-meter run, 200 dash, 100 hurdles and shot put at the NCAAs.
