Ross sees school board as next challenge

Three seats on the Oak Park Unified School District Board of Education are up for election in November, and four people have filed candidate papers for the job.
Community volunteer Derek Ross, 40, is one of the four.
Incumbent board member Allen Rosen wants another four-year stint on the panel, and Drew Hazelton, who was appointed to the board last year when Jennifer von Schneidau resigned, plans to run for the first time.
