Researchers find a new mountain lion

KING—P-45 is healthy and fit.
Until recently, researchers thought there were only two adult male mountain lions in the local mountains. But a new kid on the block was captured and released last month in the Santa Monicas.
Dubbed P-45, the cougar is estimated to be 3 to 4 years old and weighs 150 pounds, which is more than any other lion found in the local mountains since 2000, with the exception of P-1, who also weighed 150 pounds.
