Recently, the Cal Lutheran University Center for Economic Research released its annual economic forecast and for the fifth straight year predicted zero growth for Ventura County’s economy.
While the rest of the state grew at 3.8% in 2018, Ventura County’s economy actually declined, with the labor force shrinking and more of the population leaving the county for work instead of coming into it.
