Remember to check out Senior Concerns’ memory cafe

Senior Concerns offers quarterly Memory Cafes, with the next one scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sat., May 11 at Senior Concerns, 401 Hodencamp Road, Thousand Oaks.

Lunch will be provided.

A Memory Cafe is a social gathering where people with memory loss, along with their caregivers, friends and family, can come together in a safe, supportive and engaging environment.

The cafe gives participants a break from the disease and the opportunity to socialize with others.

In addition to reducing social isolation, Memory Cafes can also unite people facing similar challenges.

The cafe can provide an opportunity to give and receive support, share ideas and connect with others.

Space is limited and reservations are required. Call Senior Concerns at (805) 497-0189 to reserve a spot.
