I read with great interest the article by Stephanie Bertholdo titled “No temple affiliation needed at Hebrew school.”
In addition to noting that the highlighted teacher in her article is pictured with children who are members of local synagogues, as an ordained congregational rabbi I am the first to admit that a synagogue or temple is not needed to learn Hebrew. In fact, there are a great number of online sources, books and private tutors in our area.
