The award-winning Reign of Terror Haunted House will open for one night only to raise funds for families affected by the Thomas fire from 7 to 11 p.m. Sat., March 10 at ROT’s traditional spot at Janss Marketplace, above Gold’s Gym, on Moorpark Road and Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.

Bruce Stanton, founder of the annual haunted house, has identified six families who were seriously impacted by the wildlife. Stanton said he hopes to raise enough funds to give each family $5,000.

Reign of Terror features 100 custom-built rooms in eight distinct themes.

Saturday’s event will offer the haunted house’s full production, including over 40 actors, dozens of characters and animatronics and professional-grade special effects including customized sound, lighting, scents and fog.

Tickets are $20 for general admission and $30 for VIP Express Entry.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the ROT box office starting 6:30 p.m. Sat., March 10.
