USA Today and 10Best recently announced the Reader’s Choice winners for the best presidential attractions in the U.S. The Reagan Library in Simi Valley placed first among presidential libraries and homes, and ranked second as the best presidential attraction in the country.
Readers could vote between 18 presidential attractions.
The top 10 attractions are: Mt. Rushmore and City of Presidents; Reagan Library; The Hermitage; JFK Presidential Library and Museum; Theodore Roosevelt National Park; Monticello; Mount Vernon; Lincoln Memorial; The White House; and the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas.
The Reagan Library houses 63-million pages of gubernatorial, presidential and personal papersm and more than 60,000 gifts and artifacts chronicling the lives of Ronald and Nancy Reagan. It also serves as the final resting place of the 40th president.
The library at 40 Presidential Drive is open to the public daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
