RAD weekend


The annual Reyes Adobe Days festival kicks off today with a Senior Fiesta Luncheon with a Mexican buffet, entertainment and tours of the historic adobe home and barn Thurs., Oct. 10.

RAD activities take place on the grounds of an original 19th century rancho at 5464 Reyes Adobe Road, Agoura Hills.

Night at the Adobe is an evening of local art under the stars with wine and beer tasting, music and exhibits raising funds for cultural arts programs Fri., Oct. 11.

The weekend fun begins Sat., Oct. 12 with RAD Runs of 10K and 10-miler scenic courses through the mountains, followed by the RAD Parade at 10 a.m. with celebrity grand marshal Regan Burns, floats, bands, and classic cars.

The Day at the Adobe has free family activities include pony rides, petting zoo, history scavenger hunt and rancho living demonstrations with museum tours.

Performance stages feature Queen and Elton John tributes.

Also, locally-made art and artisan wares, craft beer and wine and food trucks will be available.

Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
