Rabbi Shimon Paskow, Rabbi Emeritus of Temple Etz Chaim in Thousand Oaks, will assist at the Temple’s observance of the High Holidays. Paskow served as the temple’s rabbi from 1969 until his retirement in July 2000.
The temple will have its Rosh Hashana services at 8:15 p.m., Mon., Sept. 17 and 9 a.m., Tues., Sept. 18. Rabbi Richard Spiegel and Hazzan Pablo Duek will conduct services in the main sanctuary. Paskow and Cantor Nathan Wine will conduct parallel services in the neighboring Methodist Church. Junior congregation will be meet from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tues., Sept. 18 and on Yom Kippur, Thurs., Sept. 27. Family services will be 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Tues., Sept. 18 and Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur services begin 7:30 p.m., Wed., Sept. 26 with the chanting of Kol Nidre. Services begin 9 a.m., Thurs., Sept. 27 and continue throughout the day. Yizkor Memorial Services begin 4:15 p.m.
