Questioning WLV priorities

So wonderful that Westlake Village has a major project at Lindero Canyon along with a 300-foot sculpture.

Odd though, in First Neighborhood, WLV never finished the task of constructing curb ramps on our street corners. As a result, old folks with walkers and moms with strollers have to walk halfway down some blocks to find a driveway so they can cross the street.

A little more than a year ago, an elderly gentleman fell down and ended up in the hospital while trying to negotiate a curb.

When I asked the mayor and other city officials about this, I was told it was too expensive to do it. Hmmmm.

Somehow we have several million dollars to improve a bridge and add a sculpture, but when it comes time to take care of the citizens of WLV in a very practical way, it is too expensive.
