Public praised
for helping
animal shelter

The week of Nov. 7-13 is National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week. This week is designated as a time for the public to show their local animal shelter how much they appreciate the shelter’s role in caring for their community’s homeless pets. Without the public’s support and donations many shelters would struggle to provide the best possible care for their orphaned animals.

We are fortunate at the Agoura Animal Shelter to have the public’s support all year round. Your generous donations of newspapers, towels, blankets, canned food, treats and toys never stop coming. When we have a special need like a washer or dryer, a good citizen will always step forward to fulfill that need. Many citizens visit our shelter on a regular basis to check on our long-timers, provide a special need for a specific animal, or to give out treats to the animals staying in the kennels. Your constant and generous support makes it possible for the volunteers and staff to provide the very best care for our community’s homeless animals.

From those of us who love and look after the animals at the Agoura Animal Shelter, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your consistent support and for providing comfort to these orphaned animals. We could not do what we do without your help.
