Pierce College introduces a fast track Honors Program

The new UCLA-supported Fast-Track Honors Program to be instituted at Pierce College in Woodland Hills is described as "an innovative highway to major research universities."

It was created for high achievers. Select qualified high school students will have the advantage to transfer to UCLA as a junior after just a single year of full-time study at Pierce College.

The University of California system has guaranteed spots for community college transfer students. No student enrolled in the Pierce Honors Program has ever been turned down for admission to UCLA.

Students have the option while enrolled in the program to receive personal counseling about transfer plans and attend small classes with highly-motivated students and experienced faculty.

To enroll in the Fast-Track Honors Program, a student must be a high school junior or senior with a 3.0 GPA who’s completed Advanced Placement (AP) classes or college credits. Students must also be eligible for English 101 at Pierce College and have passed one AP exam with a score of 3 or higher.

To receive an application for the program, please call (818) 719-6485, visit the Honors Office in Faculty Office Building 2800 at 6201 Winnetka Ave., Woodland Hills, or contact the college counselor at a local high school.
