NEW SPACE—Pepperdine University is leasing the Calabasas office building formerly used by Spirent Communications.

Pepperdine University leased a 107,000-square-foot office building at 26750 Agoura Road in Calabasas.

The building was formerly occupied by Spirent Communications, which moved last year to Liberty Canyon outside the city limits.

Pepperdine leased the property for 10 years with options. The cost of the lease was not disclosed.

Mike Tingus and Grant Fulkerson of Lee & Associates-LA North/Ventura represented the landlord, Cypress Land Company, in the transaction.

“Pepperdine was initially interested in leasing temporary space to utilize for storage during the renovation of its law library,” Tingus said. “But this property was so close to its main Malibu campus and the building was so rich in amenities, school officials felt they couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a longer term transaction.”
