Pearl Harbor to be revisited at dinner





"Pearl Harbor Revisited" is the program topic for the holiday season dinner meeting of the Conejo Valley Republican Women Federated. The event is open to the public and will begin at 5 p.m., Sun. Dec. 7 at the Clarion Palm Garden Hotel, 495 Ventu Park Road, Newbury Park. A buffet dinner will be served with wine for $31.50 per person.

Ventura County Deputy District Attorney Jeff Gorell will present the program. Gorell, a lieutenant in the U. S. Naval Reserve, has served in the Persian Gulf and Afghanistan in support of "Operation Enduring Freedom." Gorell grew up in Pearl Harbor, where his father was a naval historian.


Gorell was a consultant on the movie set of "Pearl Harbor."


Newly elected officers of the Conejo Valley Republican Women Federated will be installed at the dinner: President Judy Young, Thousand Oaks; first vice president, programs, Haf Zink, Thousand Oaks; second vice president, membership, Lenore Lewis, Oak Park; third vice president, ways and means, Sylvia Musgrove, Westlake Village; treasurer, Laura Davis, Westlake Village; and corresponding secretary, Sally Minshall, Westlake Village.
