Parent talk lecture looks at music, kids
Author says music can help integrate children’s minds, bodies


Next presentation in the Parent Talk lecture series presented by Conejo Valley Adult School is "Improving Your Child’s Mind with Music and the Mozart Effect," from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., Wed., Jan. 17 at Los Cerritos Intermediate School, 2100 E. Avenida de las Flores, Thousand Oaks.


The lecture series provides information on parenting skills for those with children of all ages.


This lecture will be led by author Don Campbell, noted for his writings on the transformative power of music.


According to Campbell, music can improve and integrate the developing mind and body, enhancing a child’s natural "multiple intelligences." Campbell will present practical and fun-filled suggestions, techniques and resources for utilizing your child’s musical mind.
