Panel to discuss non-violence




The third annual Season for Peace and Nonviolence Interfaith Council Panel Discussion will take place at 7 p.m. Wed., March 18 at the Center for Spiritual Living, 880 W. Hampshire Road in the Water Court, Westlake Village.

Representatives from several faith traditions will discuss peaceful co-existence of all people in the world.

Speakers from Baha’i, Buddhism, Catholicism, Islam, Latter-day Saints (Mormons), Judaism, Religious Science and Unity will participate.

The Gandhi King Season for Nonviolence is in its 18th year in cities across the globe.

The purpose of the campaign is to highlight the philosophy of attaining peace through nonviolent action as demonstrated by such persons as Gandhi, King, Cesar Chavez, Nelson Mandela and Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet.
