PandaMania summer program brings the Bible alive for children

Kids will make backpacks for mission project

Living Oaks Community Church will host a summer children’s event called PandaMania from 9 a.m. to noon Mon. to Fri., June 13 to 17 at the church, 1033 Business Center Circle, Newbury Park.

The program is for children from age 4 to those entering grade five in the fall.

Children will explore a bamboo forest filled with pandas and ancient ruins, participate in Biblelearning activities, sing songs, play teamwork-building games, have treats, take part in “God Sightings,” collect Bible Memory Buddies and create Bible Point crafts to take home.

Participants will also create backpacks for needy children in Latin America through the Operation Kid-to-Kid mission project.

Each day concludes with a Rowdy Wrap-Up at 11:30 a.m. in which the children live out what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to attend this time.
