 Our pets, much like the human population, are living longer due to improved diet and healthcare.
It is important that all pets have regular veterinarian visits but especially needed for older animals. It is estimated that 15 to 20% of animals are surrendered to shelters because of health problems that owners cannot afford.
Subtle health changes can be picked up at exams, and addressing them early may prevent more serious and expensive problems later.
