Carson Caccamise, 17, competed in the Teen World Golf Championship on Pinehurst No. 2 in Pinehurst, N.C.
Caccamise, a senior at Oak Park High, competed with 105 of the best teenage golfers in the world at a course where the U.S. Open and other major tournaments take place.
The Eagle was one of only seven teens from California to qualify in the 15- to 18-yearold division. Caccamise earned a top-20 finish in his age group at the tournament.
Earlier this summer Caccamise placed eighth at the Golfweek U.S. Western Regional Championship at La- Quinta/PGA West.
