Open studio tour planned for June





The city of Thousand Oaks Arts Commission is inviting artists to participate in the annual Open Studio Tour, a community-wide cultural event scheduled 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sat., June 16.


The tour will begin at the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery, 2331-A Borchard Road in Newbury Park, where participants may purchase tickets and receive maps for the self-guided tour.


Artists selected for the Open Studio Tour will also have an opportunity to exhibit their work at the Fred Kavli Theatre for the Performing Arts, one of the destinations on the tour. Their work will remain in the theatre through July as part of the ongoing rotating art gallery program.


Fine artists, fine art photographers, sculptors, ceramists, glass and fiber artists who reside or have a studio/gallery located from Agoura Hills in the east to Newbury Park in the west, and from the north/south boundaries in the Conejo Valley are eligible.


The deadline for applications is Mon., April 16.
