Only is lonely when it comes to pets


 A reader recently told me about their attempt to adopt a pet.
“I went to a rescue and wanted to adopt just one kitten but was turned down. Why would this happen?”
It does seem strange for a pet rescue to turn someone down when its whole purpose for existence is to find homes for homeless animals.
But rescue workers want to be sure the pet finds the right home under the best circumstances. Often two animals will come in who have bonded to one another, and separating them can lead to problem...
