I read with interest Mr. William’s letter, “Sun spots vs. global warming” in the Nov. 25 Acorn
. Williams is correct in that CO2 has an insulating effect and reduces the amount of heat the earth can re-radiate back into space. Where we differ in opinion is in the degree to which the earth has the ability to re-radiate heat back into space and the degree to which changes in the sun’s radiation output affects the heat levels on the earth.
