GRAND OLD ENTRANCE—New townhomes proposed to be built near the gateway to Old Agoura in Agoura Hills have been approved, but some residents still oppose the 18-unit complex inside their quiet equestrian community.
Despite lingering resentment expressed by Old Agoura residents toward developer Aitan Hillel, who cut down a black walnut tree in Old Agoura in 2007 after the city rejected his car wash proposal, the City Council approved Hillel’s 18-unit townhome plan based on its merits.
